Student Scholarships

Following is a partial list of scholarships available in Colorado for those currently in nursing looking to further their education and for those interested in entering nursing as a career.

CO Nurses Foundation (CNF); Friends of Nursing (FON); and the Sigma Theta Tau International Alpha Kappa Chapter at Large (STTI AKC@L) support nursing scholarships.

  • FON: Provides scholarships for baccalaureate and higher degrees in CO.  For more information please visit friendsofnursing.org.
  • STTI AKC@L: Scholarships for nursing students at Regis University and University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  
  • The Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program (NELRP) is available for nurses working in Critical Shortage Facilities; the program is administered by the Bureau of Clinician Recruitment and Service (BCRS) within the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA).  The purpose of the program is to assist in the recruitment and retention of professional RNs dedicated to providing health care in facilities with a critical shortage of nurses.  For complete details on the program and to apply, please go to

  • The Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses DNA30 offers a variety of scholarships during the year.  Please visit the DNA 30 website at csapn.enpnetwork.com and go to Scholarship Information for more details and to apply online.
  • The Colorado Healthcare Association for Human Resource Management (CHAHRM) offers scholarships up to $1000 each year for those currently enrolled in programs specific to allied health programs and for any HR professional interested in pursuing an HR or SPHR certification.  For scholarship information please go to their website at www.chahrm.org
