This FREE members-only webinar meeting will feature:

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERTerry Chase, ND, MA, RN, will present, A Wholehearted Life: One Step at a Time”

Dr. Terry Chase will share her personal experience of a catastrophic spinal cord injury and her transformation resulting in personal and professional growth.  This interactive and engaging session offers an interesting and inspiring mix of personal challenge, positive psychology, grounded wisdom, and a call-to-action for healthcare providers. Dr. Chase skillfully integrates her personal lived experience with an eclectic balance of education and professional training. This session will offer practical exercises and skill building activities for attendees to live fully with resilience, grace, and grit. (See Dr. Chase's bio below).

Presenter Bio:

Dr. Terry Chase is an RN in good standing with the State of Colorado. Advanced education includes a Doctorate in Nursing (ND), University of Colorado’s Health Sciences Center, MA in Spiritual Psychology, University of Santa Monica, an MA in Exercise and Sports Science, University of Denver, and BA in Physical Education and Sociology, Western State College in Colorado.

Terry served as the Patient & Family Education Program Coordinator for 18 years at Craig Hospital, located in Englewood, CO with primary responsibility for program development including patient education materials, curriculum development and class facilitation.  Recently retired as Associate Professor of Nursing-Mental Health/Leadership at Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction, CO. Dr Chase was faculty in the BSN program for 8 years.

Currently, Terry is growing a speaking-consulting-facilitation practice to serve professionals in healthcare, education, and corporate teams. Her services include keynote speaking, workshop facilitation and professional coaching growth and transformation.

In November 2021 her first book, “Spoke by Spoke: How a Broken Back and a Broken Bike Led to a WholeHearted Life” was published in November 2021, receiving the ’22 CIPA EVVY Award Silver Award in the memoir category. Additionally, Dr. Chase has many professional publications and presented across the US and Canada in the field of health promotion, well-being and SCI/TBI rehabilitation as well as consulted on many research projects.

Dr. Chase is a self-motivated, highly educated individual who has lived fully with spinal cord injury for 34 years active in all things outdoors, including kayaking, cross-country skiing, hand-cycling and whenever possible, riding horses.
