Second Wind Accepting Referrals for Youth Mental Health
October 10, 2022
Second Wind Fund's (SWF) mission is to decrease the incidence of suicide in youth by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment. SWF addresses the growing youth mental health crisis in Colorado, regardless of insurance and financial status, so they can understand their feelings and learn strategies to cope. SWF covers the cost of twelve therapy sessions and helps families with insurance navigate their support options so youth can feel connected and cared for in their community.
As of last month, Second Wind Fund is now accepting referrals from parents, guardians and caregivers! We are so happy to be able to expand access to our referral making process and we hope that this change will result in our services being more equitable and accessible for all Colorado youth. If you know any parents, guardians or caregivers whose child may need Second Wind Fund's services, please direct them to our online referral form here.
If you have any questions about how Second Wind Fund’s Program works, please reach out to Bill Heaston – Program Director: [email protected] or visit our website: www.thesecondwindfund.org.
