State of Colorado Recruiting for SEMTAC

The State of Colorado is currently recruiting for positions on the State Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council (SEMTAC). Two of these positions must be filled by nurses. We would appreciate your assistance with distributing the following announcement to your members:

The State of Colorado is seeking individuals interested in serving on the State Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council (SEMTAC) to apply for one of the following open positions on the council.

·       A fire chief of a service that provides prehospital care in an urban area

·       An administrative representative of an urban trauma center

·       A board-certified physician certified in pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty

·       A board-certified surgeon providing trauma care at a Level II trauma center

·       A registered nurse involved in rural emergency medical and trauma services care

·       A regional council chair

·       A representative of the general public from a rural area

·       A representative from the state sheriffs' association

·       A flight nurse of an emergency medical service air team or unit

Individuals representing the diversity of perspectives across the state are encouraged to apply. To apply, complete an online application at the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions website. Civica Associations, Conferences & Exhibitions, an association management company based in metro Denver, posts this job on behalf of its client the Colorado Nurses Association. The Colorado Nurses Association seeks an Executive Director as its next chief administrative officer. The ED oversees the activities required to implement the strategic plan and related programs of the association. The ED provides leadership and counsel to the board and structural/operational units of CNA and is an authorized spokesperson for the association. The ED is accountable for ensuring that the duties and responsibilities outlined below are carried out. This is a full-time position. CNA’s board of directors will select the successful candidate. The ED will be employed by and receive benefits by Civica as part its contract with CNA. The ED will report to the Board of Directors of CNA.
