Our last meeting for our year (runs from August to May) and an important one. Jean Schroeder is going before the CNA board on April 26th to discuss changing the name of the ANT from Nurse Educator/Professional Development (NEPD) to Nursing Education (NE). After the discussion at the April meeting the rationale is that the group wants to address nursing education issues within academic institutions as well as clinical settings that overlap and this name would reflect that mission best.

If you have some concerns or questions about the name change you can address them to Jean at [email protected]. Jean will report the outcome of the board meeting at the meeting on May 6th.

Tentative Agenda: 
Introductions of those in attendance if needed
Discussion of the name change
Perfecting the Charter to submit to the board and for the group to promote in the next business year - especially the role of Chairperson versus Co-Chairperson
Updates on any legislative issues that impact nursing education - federally or state
Goals for next business year
