Colorado eNLC Update

September 19, 2017

Colorado Nurses Association is actively engaged in the proposed legislation for an expedited enactment early in the 2018 legislative session.  The 2018 Colorado Legislative Session begins on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.  Senator Smallwood is currently the active Senate sponsor of the bill to be introduced early in session with hopes of passage prior to January 18, 2018.  In talking with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) Colorado RN's licensed prior to July 1, 2017 will be "grandfathered" into the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
If you have further questions, we encourage you to review the FAQ's available on the NCBSN website , and/or contact Jim Puente, Director, Nurse Licensure Compact, at [email protected] or Samuel Delp, Program Director State Board of Nursing, at [email protected].
