February 27, 2024 Prevention of Workplace Violence Committee Hearing

The Colorado Legislature will hear  Colorado HB24-1066 Prevention of Workplace Violence in Certain Healthcare Facilities in the House Health & Human Services Committee on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  We anticipate a Committee start time around 11:30 am.

Colorado HB24-1066 is being sponsored by Representative Eliza Hamrick (HD 61), Representative Lorena Garcia (HD 35), Senator Dafna Michaelson Jenet (SD21), and Senator Julie Gonzales (SD 34).

The bill has been developed and refined  in collaboration with a large coalition of consumer and provider groups.

Your voice, as a nurse, direct care worker, and/or health care provider, is important for the Colorado Legislators to hear to inform their vote to support this bill that intends to provide consistent standards for work related violence in certain health care settings.
